Jargan Farm encourages adoption!!

Each year, 2.7 million adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized in the United States, simply because too many pets come into shelters and too few people consider adoption when looking for a pet.

It’s not just the right thing to do; adoption is a reward.

Lobo

In 2004, Angel and Don’s home was burglarized.  Angel was HOME asleep in the bedroom.  Losses were minimal and the burglar was eventually caught.  However, Angel did not feel safe and wanted a dog.  Don and Angel brought a 10 week old Lobo home in January 2005.  Lobo was a shelter dog.  According to DNA testing, Lobo is  Husky, St Bernard, Basset Hound, and a “too many to tell” mix.  Lobo loves the water, food, and a stuffed toy.  He will be 14 years old in  October 2018.

Luna

In January 2008, Angel wrote an email to Don.  “Guess what?” he said.  “I found a dog near the power towers while walking Lobo.”  Luna was an escaped dog, living in the wilds woods.  A choke chain was embedded in his neck.  He was dragging a log chain where he had been tied.  Luna was quite sick with every opportunistic parasite imaginable.  He was severely underweight.  We had Luna treated and neutered.  He is a Husky/Chow mix.  Luna is now 12 or 13 years old.  His favorite game is being chased making him very difficult to train.
